Install JobFill in Chrome
A couple of minutes to install and set up. No account, no email address — your profile is created and kept on your device.
Get started in four steps
- 1
Add JobFill to Chrome
Open the JobFill listing on the Chrome Web Store and click “Add to Chrome”, then “Add extension”.
- 2
Pin it to your toolbar
Click the puzzle-piece icon in Chrome’s toolbar and the pin next to JobFill, so it’s one click away on every application.
- 3
Set up your profile
JobFill opens its setup page. Import your resume or fill in your details — about as long as one application takes.
- 4
Fill your first application
Open a job application, click the JobFill icon and choose “Autofill Application”. Review, then submit.
Requirements
- Google Chrome on a desktop or laptop (Windows, macOS, Linux or ChromeOS)
- Your resume as a PDF, Word or text file — optional, but the fastest way to start
- For AI answers only: your own API key from an AI provider
Permissions Chrome will show
When you add JobFill, Chrome warns that it can “Read and change all your data on all websites”. That lets it find and fill the job sites and application forms you use, including forms embedded in other pages. JobFill writes to a page only when you click Autofill or Insert Answer, and sends nothing on its own. The only other permission is storage — JobFill can’t see your tabs list or browsing history. Read the privacy details.
Frequently asked questions
Which browsers does JobFill work in?
JobFill is built and tested for Google Chrome on desktop (Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS). It is a standard Manifest V3 extension; other Chromium-based browsers that install Chrome Web Store extensions may work, but Chrome is the supported browser.
Do I need to create an account?
No. There is no sign-up and no login. Your profile is created and stored inside the extension on your own device.
Is JobFill free?
Yes. JobFill has no paid plans, no accounts and no payments. The only possible cost is optional: if you turn on AI-drafted answers, you use your own API key and your AI provider bills you for that usage.
Why does JobFill need access to the websites I visit?
Application forms live on thousands of different sites, often inside embedded frames, so JobFill’s form reader needs to run on web pages to find fields. It reads form fields and their labels, sends nothing on its own, and only writes to a page when you click Autofill or Insert Answer. The only other permission it asks for is storage, to save your profile.
How do I delete my data?
Open JobFill’s Privacy settings and choose “Delete all local data”. That erases your profile, saved resume, settings and any AI API key from this device. Uninstalling the extension also removes its stored data.
Ready for your next application?
Set up your profile once. JobFill fills the form; you review and submit.
Your profile is stored on your device. No account needed.
